[pwc] VIDIOCPWCGAC error

Hi pwc experts,

we are using the Toucam 740 and are very happy with its performance 
together with the Mandriva 2006 distro. However, occasionally we get the 
error massage
VIDIOCPWCAGC: invalid argument. We can still see the images on qastrocam 
as our frontend, but it writes this error line after line for hours, 
sometimes. And this is what is weird: Not all the time. The newest pwc 
driver 10.0.7a-1mdk for mandriva is installed. Now the puzzling part:
typing setpwc -p gives us the automatic gain control value of some 
negative number, implying the webcam is on auto-mode, what it should be. 
Is it possible that qastrocam is still using an older driver? How could 
i find out and how could I remove an older driver and use the newest 
installed one for all programs?
