Subject: [pwc] driver for my philips camera spc 610NC

 Hi

i'm linux user ( using Ubuntu 10.04  whit a 2.6.32-22-generic kernel
version) . I'm trying to install my philips camera SPC 610NC, so i read the
INSTALL.en, then i download the  pwc-10.0.12-rc1.tar.bz2 which is the
lastest version , from http://www.saillard.org/linux/pwc/files, after that
and when i moved to the directory pwc-10.0.9rc1 and do make, i got the
following :
                  $ make
                  make -C /lib/modules/2.6.32-22-generic/build
SUBDIRS=/home/samuel/pwc-10.0.12-rc1 modules
                  make: *** /lib/modules/2.6.32-22-generic/build: No such
file or directory.  Stop.
                  make: *** [all] Error 2

in the INTALL.en the step 3 said : compile the module (this needs the source
of your actual kernel to be installed). Maybe i get confused  in the part
"this needs the source" .
Please help me with this and thank you.

Did you just try the version already in your kernel?

hi samuel,

i believe the pwc module is packaged with that release.

if you still have trouble, first make sure USB recognizes the device as what
you say (SPC 610NC).  then check to make sure the pwc module has loaded.
